Offensive Player of the Week
Amari Little / Jr / Penn State Brandywine / Ellicott City, Md. / Marriott Ridge HS / Neumann University
In his debut at Brandywine, Amari Little scored a team-high 30 points Friday night. He shot 10-of-11 from the field, 4-of-5 from three-point range and made all six of his free throw attempts. Little scored 15 points in the first half on 6-for-6 shooting and netted Brandywine's final six points of the night from the free throw line to secure a season-opening 80-69 win at Penn State Schuylkill.
This is the first Player of the Week for Little, and first United East Conference weekly award for Penn State Brandywine’s men’s basketball team. This season, Penn State Brandywine joined the United East Conference and is in Year One of Reclassifying into the NCAA.
Defensive Player of the Week
Livingston Cross / Sr / Penn College / Union, N.J. / Union HS
Cross averaged a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards in a 1-1 week against Elmira and Keuka. In the Wildcats' season-opener against Elmira, Cross led the team with 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while also dishing out five assists and adding two blocks and two steals. Cross followed with 20 points and eight rebounds while shooting 54.5% (6-for-11) against Keuka.
This is the first Player of the Week award for Cross, who was a First Team All-Conference selection last season after posting 15 double-doubles and finishing in the nation’s top-25 in double-doubles, field goals made, points, rebounds, and rebounds per game.
