LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East Conference joins NCAA Division III and Division II conferences across the country in celebrating Officials’ Appreciation Week throughout the 2026-27 academic year.
Now in its fifth year, the initiative was adopted by the Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) to recognize and thank the officials whose dedication and professionalism help make intercollegiate athletics possible.
Officials’ Appreciation Week will be celebrated during each of the fall, winter and spring sport seasons. The fall celebration will take place October 4-10, followed by the winter celebration January 17-23 and the spring celebration April 4-11.
The United East Conference extends its appreciation to the officials who serve our student-athletes, coaches and institutions throughout the year. Their commitment to providing safe, fair and competitive environments is an essential part of the student-athlete experience and the success of United East competition.
Officials’ Appreciation Week is one of several initiatives being implemented as part of the Division III Commissioners Association Strategic Plan for Collegiate Officiating.
In conjunction with the NCAA and the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO), the DIIICA continues to address the nationwide need for sports officials. Those interested in learning more about becoming an official are encouraged to visit the NCAA’s Say Yes to Officiating platform.
