GILBERT, Ariz. – Eight United East Conference tennis programs and 39 student-athletes earned academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for their achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.

Four men’s and four women’s programs received ITA All-Academic Team distinction. Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Harrisburg and St. Mary’s College of Maryland earned the honor in both men’s and women’s tennis.

To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, a program must compile a team grade-point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. All varsity letter winners must be included in the calculation of the team GPA.

The conference also placed 20 men and 19 women on the ITA Scholar-Athlete lists. To earn Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must record a GPA of at least 3.5 during the academic year and be listed on the institution’s eligibility form.

Nationally, 1,151 NCAA Division III men’s tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, while 147 programs earned All-
Academic Team recognition. On the women’s side, 1,309 student-athletes and 177 programs received academic honors.
