Behrend Takes Home the Women's Indoor T&F Title

LANDOVER, MD. - The United East held its first ever Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Monday at the Prince George Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md. A close finish ended with Penn State Behrend hoisting the overall title, scoring a total of 136.66 team points

Isabelle Popoff from Alfred State earned the title of Field Athlete of the Year, hitting the podium in three different events. The senior topped the field in the mile race and with the help of her teammates, claimed first in the Distance Medley Relay. She would also claim third place in the 800m.

Gallaudet University’s Hannah Wetzel dominated the jumps, earning her the title of Field Athlete of the Year. She would top the podium in three different events including the long jump, triple jump and high jump.

Oceana Brown excelled in her first year as a Bison, claiming Rookie of the Year honors. The first year runner placed first in the 200m while taking home second place in the 60m dash.

Greg Cooper was also named Coach of the Year at the conclusion of the Championships.

All-Conference honors were also rolled out to the top-three finishers of each event. You can find those below:
