MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. - Penn College captured its second-straight Men’s Golf Title as the Wildcats shot the low score at the 2024 United East Championship this weekend hosted by Penn State Abington and Philmont Country Club.
The Wildcats will now represent the United East on the national stage as they have earned the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III National Championship. That will take place May 14-17 in Boulder Creek, Nev.

Leading after day one, Penn College maintained a comfortable lead throughout the second round finishing the weekend at a 624 (+64). Trevor Keaton turned in the low score for the squad, managing a 78 (+8) through the second 18. He was followed closely by Peyton Mussina who tallied a 79 (+9). Mussina used a two day score of 149 (+9) to earn Golfer of the Year honors. Coach Rob Lytle would also garner Coach of the Year honors for the second time in as many seasons.
Penn State Harrisburg placed second in the event, ending the two rounds with a team score of 633 (+73). Gavin Fegley had a terrific outing in his first season as a Lion, taking second place overall with a score of 154 (+14). Fegley would go on to also be named the Rookie of the Year.
Lancaster Bible College placed third as the Chargers shot a 657 (+97). Jake Rotelle came in third overall for the second-straight year, shooting a two-day score of 157 (+17). Right behind him was Brady Wiggins, whose score of 158 (+18) put him in a tie for fourth.
