MIDDLETOWN, Pa.
 - Thanks to a 5-0 victory over conference foe Penn State Abington at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Wednesday afternoon, Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis team punched its ticket to Saturday's United East Championship Match at the Hershey Racquet Club.

The hometown Lions (12-7) set the tone in doubles play, winning all three matches. Andrew Schreck and Vik Patel picked up the first win, an 8-4 victory over Tripp Mangifesta and Lucca Frederico in the third contest. ZiJun Ou and Derwin Merca made it 2-0 with an 8-4 win over Tim Belotserkovsky and Nick Talarico in the No. 2 matchup and the top duo of Cooper Wheeler and Damir Cuturic overcame an early deficit to win 8-7 against Wenxu Gu and Josh Kurek.

Cuturic blasted through his singles match and rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Kurek in the No. 2 spot before Schreck clinched the overall win to send Penn State Harrisburg to the conference championship thanks to a 6-0, 6-2 defeat of Talarico in the No. 4 showdown.

The Lions are set to turn their attention to top-seeded St. Mary's (Md.) on the weekend. Penn State Harrisburg will have revenge on its mind after falling by the slimmest of margins to the Seahawks earlier this season. Saturday's championship match in Hershey, Pa. is tentatively set to begin at 6 p.m.
