Penn State Harrisburg Concludes Season at NCAA Tournament

CLEVELAND, Oh. - Penn State Harrisburg concluded the 2024 season with an Opening Round defeat to #17 University of Mary Washington (Fredericksburg, Va.) 5-0 Friday afternoon on the campus of Case Western Reserve University. 

Making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since the spring of 2012, the Nittany Lions ran into the #17 team in the country and ultimately fell 5-0. 

During the doubles portion of the match, Harrisburg was defeated 8-1 on Court 1, 8-2 on Court 2, and 8-1 on Court 3. 

Singles matches finished next with Court 5 going down 6-0, 6-0 and Court 6 losing 6-0, 6-0 to clinch the match for the Eagles.

Harrisburg finishes the season 13-8 (6-1 United East) having made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012.  Mary Washington moves on to face #15 Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Md.) on Saturday afternoon.
