BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Penn College men’s golf team finished up Round Two of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship on Wednesday evening which is being played in Boulder City, Nev. The team combined to shoot an 620 (+44) which garnered them a 29th place finish.

Penn College’s Peyton Mussina carded two tremendous rounds, earning himself entry to the next two rounds as an individual. The United East Golfer of the Year shot a 69 (-3) on day one before turning in a 68 (-4) on day two. Mussina has hit eight birdies across the two rounds while bogeying just once. His efforts currently have in a tie for 2nd place out of the 291 golfer field. He will continue his play on Thursday and Friday.
Gavin Baer was the second place finisher for the Wildcats, turning in a 153 (+9) across the two-day event. Baer shot a 79 on day one before shaving off five strokes for a day two total of 74 (+2). Will Orwig was right behind him, opening the tournament with a 76 (+4) before adding six strokes for a total of 158 (+14).
Trevor Keaton placed fourth on the squad as he shot an 82 and an 80 for a 162 (+18) while Gunner Redmond rounded out the WIldcat team with a two-day score of 168 (+24).
