In just its second season competing, the Lions are making a statement as seven-straight victories including a pair of overtime clinches. The offense has been cooking for Harrisburg as their 3.64 goals per game rank 15th in the country and their 2.80 assists per game rank fifth. You can point to Ami Mattingly for helping out that cause as her 1.90 goals per game top all players in Division III. Mattingly has earned United East Offensive Player of the Week honor three times this season.
The 2024 United East Champions are in solid form, posting seven wins while boasting one of the tougher schedules in Division III. The Seahawks rely on a stiff defense that has piled up five shutouts so far. Sophia Kent has occupied the area between the pipes for the squad, registering a 83.5% save percentage which ranks 23rd in Division III.
Both squads will be on the road for conference contests this Saturday with St. Mary’s College traveling to Lancaster Bible College and Harrisburg to Cedar Crest College.
