MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released another set of awards this week, including the National Academic Team Award as well as their Scholars of Distinction. All six United East programs had student-athletes named to the Scholars of Distinction List while three program earned National Academic Team Awards.

The honor of being named a National Academic Team is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year. Lancaster Bible College, Wilson College and St. Mary’s College of Maryland all collected this accolade in 2024.
The Scholars of Distinction program acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.A total of 28 United East field hockey players were honored with this award.
