Similar to the women’s side, the men’s side also has a tie at the top between Harrisburg and St. Mary’s College. The Lions edged out their competitors in the 2025 Outdoor Track & Field Championship to earn their first team title in the sport and are looking to duplicate results on the indoor side. Harrisburg performed well in the field events in 2025, taking gold in the shot put (Kinti), weight throw (Myron) and triple jump (Luo). Jonathan Luo had a dominant Championship as he would go on to be named the Field Athlete of the Year.
The Seahawks are looking to repeat as champs as they hoisted the trophy a year ago. They return a number of gold medalists from a season ago including Zachary Kralic (pole vault), Jake Robey (800m) and Nick Haylock (60m hurdles). St. Mary’s College also hopes to return Ty Tindall who was the 2023 Rookie of the Year but missed the 2024 season due to injury.
Gallaudet also received a top vote, hoping to build off some success from the cross country season as newcomer Sevan Ikeda took home Runner and Rookie of the Year honors.
This year’s United East Championship will be held on February 27 back at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex.
