Seahawks Crowned Women's Indoor T&F Champions

LANDOVER, Md. - The Seahawks of St. Mary’s College of Maryland were crowned Champions at the 2025 United East Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday evening at the Prince George’s Sports Complex. This marks the first title in this sport for the ‘Hawks.

The final team standings ended as follows

  1. St. Mary’s College of Maryland (203 points)

  2. Lancaster Bible College (100 points)

  3. Carlow University (91 points)

  4. Penn State Harrisburg (49 points)

  5. Gallaudet University (10 points)

The Seahawks topped the podium in five events including the mile run, the 60m hurdles, the 800m, the 4x400m relay and the high jump. Rocksann had a phenomenal day as she medaled in six events including a gold in the high jump. The first year would pick up Field Athlete of the Year honors as well as being named the conference’s Rookie of the Year. 

Teammate Mileah Cotton earned Track Athlete of the Year honors as she finished first in three different races including the one mile, the 800m and the 4x400m. Coach Reava Potter would wrap up the Seahawks sweep of awards as she collected Coach of the Year honors.

Emma McMurray was named the Elite 20 Award winner as the student-athlete with the highest GPA from a team finishing in the top-4 of the team standings.
