Pelino set the highest mark in the pole vault for any United East athlete as he vaulted 4.50 meters at the Susquehanna Invitational on Feb. 15. The leap not only set a personal best for the senior but also earned him first out of 14 participants in that event. In the Mid-Atlantic Region, his mark was tied for the fifth best with the top mark of 4.85 meters coming from Ayden Stankus from Lebanon Valley College.
Davis has been a standout in the shot put for a while, most recently taking gold at the United East Championships last weekend. The senior laid down her top throw of the year on Feb. 8 at the Frank Colden Invite hosted by Ursinus College. Her toss would travel 12.81 meters, earning her the top spot in a field of 42 competitors. This is the fourth year in a row Davis has earned an All-Region nod.
