United East Athletes of the Week - March 17, 2025

LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for March 17, 2025.  Today will include Players of the Week for men’s and women's lacrosse, men’s volleyball, baseball and is the first weekly accolades for softball.

This week’s selections included contests from Monday, March 10 through Sunday, March 16, 2025. A total of 10 student athletes were recognized for their performances.

  • Defensive Player of the Week

    Kira Bradley / JR / Bryn Athyn College / Levittown, Pa. / Neshaminy

    Bradley was a force on both ends of the lacrosse fiel this week. She led the Lions to a 2-0 week. She caused six turnovers and scooped 5 groundballs in two games.

    This is the First Defensive Player of the Week for Bradley.

     

    Offensive Player of the Week

    Kira Bradley / JR / Bryn Athyn College / Levittown, Pa. / Neshaminy

    Bradley was dominant in a 2-0 week for the Lions. Bradley logged two 10 point games this week en route to 20 points. In the first game of the week, Bradley scored 7 goals and added 3 assists. On Saturday, she followed up with 5 goals and 5 assists against Morrisville State.  Bradley also won 20 draw controls on the week. 

    This is the First Offensive Player of the Week for Bradley.

  • Offensive Player of the Week

    Aiden Doyle / SR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Annapolis, Md. / Broadneck

    Aiden Doyle tallied 14 goals and 16 points plus five ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. Doyle finished the 26-10 road win over Messiah with a season-best eight points on a career-high six goals and season-best two assists plus a career-high five ground balls and one caused turnover. He then tallied a season-best eight points on a career-high eight goals while matching his career-best of two caused turnovers in a 17-7 win over Vassar.

    This is the first Player of the Week award for Doyle this season and his fourth of his career (03/06/23 | 03/13/23 | 03/25/24)

    Defensive Player of the Week

    Ryan Twist / SO / Penn College / Great Meadows, N.J. / Hackettstown

    Twist posted a career-high 20 saves in a 13-7 victory at Shenandoah on Wednesday. The sophomore goalie earned a .741 save percentage while collecting six ground balls and caused two turnovers in his sixth-straight victory and lowered his goals-against average to 9.77.

    This is Twist's second Player of the Week award of his career, earning the first accolade earlier this season.

  • Player of the Week

    Jaiden Augustine / SO / Penn College / Dillsburg, Pa. / Northern York

    Augustine batted a team-best 11-20 (.550) with 11 RBIs, nine runs scored, one double, one triple and two stolen bases in six games for the Wildcats. His best day at the plate saw Augustine hit 3-for-3 with five RBIs and two runs scored against Penn State York. He hit one double and had a stolen base in the 15-5 victory. In the United East opener against Valley Forge on Saturday, Augustine combined to go 5-for-7 (.714) at the plate with five RBIs and six runs scored. 

    This is the first Player of the Week award for Augustine of his career.

    Pitcher of the Week

    Parker Zook / FY / Penn State Berks / Cotesville, Pa. / Coatesville

    Parker had a tremendous pitching performance in first conference start, blanking Notre Dame of Maryland University. He pitched all 7.0 innings, allowing only four hits while striking out 10 Gators. He also picked up two outs in relief against Bridgewater State, not allowing an earned run there to give him a perfect 0.00 ERA on the week.

    This is the first Pitcher of the Week award for Zook of his career.

  • Player of the Week

    Ava Craddock / FR / Penn State Brandywine / Springfield, Pa. / Springfield

    Ava Craddock hit .615 with a pair of two-hit games and one four-hit game last week. She drove in two runs and scored three times. Craddock recorded two-hit efforts in back-to-back games against Albertus Magnus and Alfred. She went 4-for-4 at the plate with three doubles and two RBI against Carroll

    This is the first Player of the Week award for Craddock of her career.

    Pitcher of the Week

    Mackenzie Weaver / SR / Penn College / Williamsport, Pa. / Montoursville

    Weaver went 2-2 in the circle during the Wildcats' Spring Break trip in Myrtle Beach. The senior Wildcat tossed four complete-games amounting to 27 innings pitched and two shutout victories. Weaver combined for 27 strikeouts, while allowing 16 hits, six runs and four earned runs for the week. 

    This is Weaver's second Pitcher of the Week award of the season and seventh of her career (03/13/23 | 04/17/23 | 03/1½3 | 04/0½4 | 04/08/24 | 03/03/25)

  • Defensive Player of the Week

    Tyler Wascher / FY / Gallaudet University / Noblesville, Ind. / Indiana School for the Deaf

    Wascher led the Bison with 10 blocks (one solo) in three matches last week as Gallaudet went 2-1 including its first conference win of the season. Wascher added 27 kills on 48 swings and only five errors and made six digs, two aces and one assist. He tallied 34.5 points for the Bison. In the conference win over Bryn Athyn he had three blocks and 10 kills. In the second game against Bryn Athyn he made six blocks and nine kills.

    This is the first career Player of the Week award for Wascher.

    Offensive Player of the Week

    Tyler Martin / JR / Lancaster Bible College / New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot

    Martin has been a significant contributor to the Chargers success after having to switch from libero to setter in the middle of the season. Martin and the Chargers went 3-0 with three sweeps this week over Wilson, Pratt Institute, and Stevenson. He dished out 29 assists per game including two 30+ assists games against Wilson and Stevenson. He also grabbed four service aces and 12 digs on the week. Martin is also 7th in the conference for digs at 2.26 per set. 

    This is the second career Player of the Week award for Martin in his career (01/20/25)
