Potter Earns Regional Coach of the Year Honors in Women's Indoor T&F

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Reava Potter, the head women’s track and field coach at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Potter becomes the first United East coach to earn this honor.

 It was quite the season for Potter as the Seahawks raised the championship trophy at this year’s Indoor Track & Field Championships. Potter guided her squad to its first ever Championship, winning five events in the process. The Seahawks would also garner all Four of the major awards including Track Athlete of the Year (Mileah Cotton), Field Athlete of the Year (Rocksann Smith), Rookie of the Year (Rocksann Smith) and Coach of the Year. Potter also saw her student athletes earn a spot on the podium in every event except the pole vault.
