Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Muhammad Esmat / SO / Penn State Berks / Chapel Hill, N.C. / Ocale Oasis Internationale
Esmat had a great week, helping the Lions pickup United East Conference victories over Lancaster Bible College and Penn College. Esmat went 2-0 in his #1 singles matches and 2-0 as part of the #1 doubles team. His performance was especially clutch in the Lions win over Penn College where his team was playing down a player. Esmat and his doubles partner Jazae Maina-Itegi battled back forcing a tiebreaker that they won 10-8. He then fought off a solid challange for the Wildcats #1 singles player, picking up a 6-3, 7-5 to earn another key team point.
This is Esmat's first time being named Player of the Week of the season and second of his career (10/03/23)
