PENFIELD, N.Y. - On a rainy Wednesday, the Penn College men’s golf team rounded out its season as it failed to make the team cut at the 2025 NCAA Championship hosted at Cobblestone Creek Country Club. The squad placed 41st as a team, shooting a 654 (+78) over the two rounds.
Despite the team ending its run, Peyton Mussina will be moving on as an individual though as his two round score of 145 (+1). He will tee off at 10:30 AM back at Midvale Country Club.

After coming off of an even par finish yesterday, Mussina added just a single stroke to his scorecard during round two. In the process, the senior also jumped up six spots and currently sits at a tie for fourth among the 235 golfers field. His momentum holes came at the end of the first nine as he notched a birdie on hole #8 followed by another birdie on hole #9.
Mussina will return to the Midvale Country Club tomorrow to continue his run for an individual title.
Finishing with the second-best score on the squad was Brady Handy who mirrored his day one score of 83 (+11) on Tuesday. Handy found a trio of birdies on the day, going one under on #8, #13 and #15. His total bumped him up two spots from day one, finishing him in 192nd place.
Will Orwig placed third on the Wildcats, posting an 89 (+17) after yesterday’s score of an 83 (+11). Orwig carded a birdie on hole #6
Rounding out the Penn College squad was Logan Gawlinski and Gunner Redmond, who finished the two days at a +31 and +32, respectively.
