Lions Men's Tennis Concludes Season in NCAA First Round

GRANTVILLE, Ohio - The Penn State Harrisburg men’s tennis team fell, 4-0, to North Central (Ill.) in the First Round of the 2025 NCAA Championship. With the result, the Lions end their season with a 16-6 record and title of United East Champions.

Cooper Wheeler and Damir Cuturic battled at the top doubles position, but were court short as the Cardinals were victorious in the other two flights. The tandem was up 2-0 to start the match and were battling when their match was called to a halt. 

North Central went up 3-0 relatively quickly with sweeps at the third and fourth flight. Wheeler was battling in the top slot, falling 6-4 in the opening set but his match went unfinished as the North Central player defeated Michael Rivino in the sixth spot.
