In order to receive the Scholar All-America award, the student-athlete must be a senior academically and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Athletically, they must be an All-America, a member of a North/South team, or an all-conference player. All nominations are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Scholar All-American committee.
Hatfield turned in another stellar season, earning this honor on the heels of his third-straight All-America honorable mention selection. Hatfield was a First Team All-Conference selection and was eventually named the United East’s Senior Male Athlete of the Year.
Heiser concluded his career in competition with a United East first team selection after helping the Wildcats to a runner-up finish. In the classroom, Heiser was awarded the United East Elite 20 honor, was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, and was awarded Penn College's Male Scholar-Athlete award.
