Seahawk's Martin Named to USILA National Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Adam Martin from the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Assocation (USILA) National Team of the Wek roster for the week ending on March 9, 2026. This is the first United East player to earn this recognition this season.

Adam Martin was the defensive leader in the Seahawks' 1-1 week. Martin started off with career-highs of six ground balls and four caused turnovers in a tough 5-4 loss to Catholic. He then led the defense with three caused turnovers and three ground balls in the team's 20-5 win over SUNY Maritime College. His efforts earned him United East Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

This year, the Kent Island, Md. native averages 2.00 caused turnovers per game which ranks second in the conference and his 17 total groundballs rank second. Martin and the rest of the Seahawk squad return to action this evening with a home bout against Randolph-Macon who is recieving votes in the latest national poll.
