ITA Recognizes Three Women's Tennis Teams & 18 Individuals for Academic Honors

GILBERT, Ariz. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its Team Academic Awards and its Scholar Athletes for the 2024-25 season. Three United East women’s tennis teams and 18 individual student athletes were honored.

Penn State Abington, Penn State Harrisburg and St. Mary’s College of Maryland all earned the distinction of Team Academic Award winners which was achieved through the following criteria:

  • have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),

  • all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and

  • all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

The 18 individuals below were also recognized as they collected Scholar Athlete honors for maintaining a GPA of a 3.5 or higher for the academic year.
