LATHAM, N.Y. - The 2026 United East Women's Basketball Championship tipped off Wednesday evening with the first round of the tournament. No. 7 Lancaster Bible College defeated No. 10 Gallaudet University, 68-63, while No. 8 Penn State Harrisburg defeated No.9 Penn State Brandywine, 73-40.

#7 Lancaster Bible College def. #10 Gallaudet University, 68-63 (BOX SCORE)
Lancaster Bible outlasted Gallaudet in a back-and-forth contest that saw multiple lead changes. Lancaster Bible’s balanced offensive attack was led by Shania Stoltzfus, who poured in 23 points on an efficient 7-10 shooting with 7-8 from three. She was backed by Isabella Eufemia, who added 18 points, knocking down three threes and making all five of her free throws while also dishing out five assists. Raven Hunter contributed nine rebounds to go with 13 points. Rachel Nolt chipped in 10 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, while Emily Wilson added seven assists. On the Gallaudet side, Natalie Greene led all scorers with 23 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Kayla Debrow contributed 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Sunita Schmidjorg added nine assists.
#8 Penn State Harrisburg def. #9 Penn State Brandywine, 73-40 (Box Score)
Harrisburg got a huge performance from Lauren Moffatt, scoring 30 points on 8-11 shooting and converting all 13 free throws, while also pulling down 16 rebounds. Nicole Hernandez added 13 points with efficient shooting and contributed two rebounds and a steal, and Akira Cho chipped in 12 points. Mikayla Coleman also added 10 points. Penn State Brandywine was led by Trinell Watson’s 13 points, but Harrisburg's defense limited other scoring opportunities, holding Brandywine to just 40 total points.
