LATHAM, N.Y. - The 2026 United East Men's Basketball Championship tipped off Wednesday evening with the first round of the tournament. No. 10 Keystone College defeated No. 7 St. Mary's College of Maryland, 80-71, while No. 8 Wilson College came out victorious over No. 9 Penn State Berks, 92-80.

#10 Keystone College def. #7 St. Mary's College of Maryland, 80-71 (BOX SCORE)
Keystone took the win as Jden Golding exploded for 29 points, draining 11 of his 24 shots and adding five steals, while Ahmodrion Jones added 22 points on efficient shooting. Kamdyn Ayers contributed nine points and five rebounds while dishing out two assists, and Demetrius Thomas chipped in eight points with six rebounds. On the St. Mary's side, Evan Quintero led his team with 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while Khairi Hyde and Jake Koverman each logged 11 points, with Koverman also grabbing seven rebounds. Korey Blair added nine points and 2 steals, and J.D. Salo pulled down eight rebounds to go with his nine points, but the Seahawks couldn’t overcome Keystone’s scoring punch in the second half.
#8 Wilson College def. #9 Penn State Berks, 92-80, (BOX SCORE)
Wilson pulled away for the victory over Penn State Berks. Jalen Bowie led the way with 21 points, while adding seven rebounds and two steals to impact both ends of the floor. Armani Jones posted a 19-point, 14-rebound game, while Jalen Pierce had 16 points, seven assists, and four rebounds. For Berks, Jaedon Mast had 21 points and chipped in five rebounds and two assists, and Matthew Gingerich battled inside for a 16-point, 12-rebound game, but Berks was unable to make the comeback.
