LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for April 13, 2026. Today will include Players of the Week from women's flag football, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, baseball and softball awards.
This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, April 12. A total of 10 student-athletes from eight different member institutions were recognized for their performances.
Women's Flag Football
Offensive Player of the Week
Gianna Visco / SO / Gallaudet University Riverside, Calif.
Gallaudet University sophomore quarterback Gianna Visco led the Bison to a conference sweep on the road last Saturday as the buff and blue clinched a berth into the upcoming United East tournament. Visco completed 47 of 63 passes for 497 yards and eight touchdown passes through the air in the two games played. She added 106 yards on the ground on 19 carries and scored once. Visco led the way against second-place Penn State Harrisburg with 293 yards and four scores on 27 of 35 passes thrown as GU won 38-19. In the 34-6 win over Cedar Crest, Visco continued to add to her impressive season statistics as she completed 20 of 28 passes for 204 yards and four touchdowns. She added eight rushes for 71 yards and one score.
This is Visco's second career United East weekly accolade in women's flag football (03/30/26)
Defensive Player of the Week
Citrine Lummer / SO / Gallaudet University / Frederick, Md.
Gallaudet University sophomore linebacker Citrine Lummer tallied eight tackles, one tackle for loss and snagged one interception as the Bison swept a conference tri-match at Cedar Crest College. In the 38-19 win over second-place Penn State Harrisburg, Lummer made two tackles and snagged an interception and returned it 16 yards for the Bison. On offense she added eight receptions, 56 yards and a score. In the 34-6 victory over the host Falcons of Cedar Crest, Lummer made six stops on defense and one tackle for loss. At wide receiver, she grabbed five passes for 56 yards (yes, same total as the first game) and found the end zone once.
This is Lummer's third career United East weekly accolade in women's flag football, earning the distinction for the third time in as many weeks.
Baseball
Player of the Week
Blaine Waltimyer / SR / Penn State Harrisburg / Pottstown, Pa. / Owen J. Roberts
Blaine Waltimyer was a menace at the plate for Penn State Harrisburg last week. Across five games, the outfielder slashed .667/.682/1.333 with a monster 2.015 OPS. The senior drove in eight runs, scored eight more, walked five times, swiped three bags and racked up 20 total bases thanks in part to three home runs and a double. Across a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Abington on Saturday, he homered three times and had four extra-base hits before reaching base four times, scoring a pair of runs and driving in another in a victory at No. 25 Mary Washington the following day.
This is Waltimyer's second career United East weekly accolade (03/09/26).
Pitcher of the Week
Brandon Dalmado / JR / University of Valley Forge / Woodbridge, Va. / Charles J. Colgan Sr. HS
Dalmado tuned in a spectacle on the mound in the Patriot victory over Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday. The junior hurled a fill 9.0 innings allowing just a single earned runs and eight hits. Over that span he also fanned 10 batters while not allowing any walks.
This is Dalmado's second career United East weekly accolade (02/26/25).
Softball
Pitcher of the Week
Mackenzi Tice / SO / Penn College / Mansfield, Pa. / North Penn-Mansfield
Tice posted a 5-1 record in the Wildcats' marathon week of five doubleheaders. The sophomore ace accumulated 48 strikeouts and surrendered just eight earned runs in 36 innings of action over the week. Her best performance came against Penn State Berks where she struck out 11 and was one walk away from a perfect game in a 9-0 victory against the Lions on Saturday. Tice also tossed 10 Ks in a 2-0 nonconference victory at Mount Aloysius on Thursday. Tice racked up a second win in four relief innings of game two against Berks and scored a complete game victory against Penn State Abington on Tuesday.
This is Tice's second United East weekly accolade of the season and her third in her career (03/23/26, 03/24/25)
Player of the Week
Kaylee Mushinski / SR / Penn State Brandywine / Allentown, N.J. / Allentown
Kaylee Mushinski batted .565 with a 1.174 slugging percentage and seven extra-base hits last week. Mushinski homered twice, tripled three times and recorded four multi-hit efforts in six games. In a game two win at Penn College, she went 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs scored and hit a grand slam. Earlier in the week, she totaled five hits, five runs scored, four RBI and three extra-base hits in a doubleheader sweep of Notre Dame.
This is Mushinski's first United East weekly accolade of the season and her secondd in her career (03/10/25)
Women’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Paige Ney / SR / Wilson College / Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville
Ney totaled seven goals and four assists as Wilson went 3-0 on the week which included a conference win against Cedar Crest to clinch the No. 2 seed in the United East Championship. She scored hat tricks in two games including the win against the Falcons.
This is Ney's first career United East Weekly Accolade.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sadie Fike / JR / Wilson College / McClure, Pa. / Mifflin County
Fike excelled on both ends of the field as Wilson went 3-0 on the week. Defensively she totaled 18 ground balls and caused six turnovers. On the start, she won 11 draw controls. Eight ground balls and four caused turnovers came in a 7-5 road win at La Roche. She added eight draw controls in a win at Trinity, and added six more ground balls in a home win against Cedar Crest to clinch the No. 2 seed in the United East Championship. Offensively she added eight goals with four coming at La Roche.

Men’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Luke Amberman / FY / Pitt-Bradford / Olney, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends
Luke Amberman was unstoppable on Saturday as he led Pitt-Bradford to a win in its inaugural United East game at Cairn. The Freshman attacker scored the 2nd most goals in a game in all of NCAA DIII this season when he scored 12 times against the Highlanders. He put 18 shots on target, added 1 assist and registered one ground ball.
This is Amberman's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Defensive Player of the Week
Joe Szymanski / SR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Easton, Md. / Easton
Joe Szymanski scooped up six ground balls and had one caused turnover in an 11-5 road loss at No. 13 Dickinson.
This is Szymanski's third weekly accolade of the season and the fourth of his career (03/30/26, 03/16/26, 03/10/25)
