LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for April 27, 2026. Today will include Players of the Week from men's lacrosse, baseball and softball awards.
This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, April 26. A total of six student-athletes from five different member institutions were recognized for their performances.
Baseball
Player of the Week
Dan Rohlsen / SO / Penn State Brandywine / Macungie, Pa. / Emmaus
Rohlsen hit .529 with nine hits in 17 at-bats and four multi-hit games last week. He also drove in seven runs, scored four times and stole two bases. Rohlsen was 3-for-4 at Penn State Harrisburg on Tuesday and recorded two hits, three RBI and three runs scored one day later at Ursinus. He totaled four hits, four RBI and a run scored in a doubleheader at St. Mary's on Friday.
This is Rohlsen's first areer United East weekly accolade.
Pitcher of the Week
Colin Bashor / FY / St. Mary's College (MD) / Sverna Park, Md. / Annapolis
Colin Bashor registered his second straight game with double-digit strikeouts as Bashor struck out 11 in 6.2 innings in SMCM's 15-2 (7 inn.) win at Wilson. Bashor allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit. This was his first career win as a Seahawk.
This is Bashor's first career United East weekly accolade.
Softball
Pitcher of the Week
Mackenzi Tice / SO / Mansfield, Pa. / North Penn Mansfield
Tice went 3-0 with a 0.54 ERA over 16.0 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out 27 batters and limited opposing hitters to a .200 batting average. Her week was highlighted by a five-inning complete-game shutout against Keystone, where she allowed just one hit and struck out 11 batters. She followed that with a complete-game victory against Penn State Harrisburg in game one, allowing just one earned run over seven innings with seven strikeouts. Tice also added a dominant relief appearance, striking out seven over three scoreless innings in game two against the Lions to set a program single-season record with 18 victories.
This is Tice's third United East accolade of the season and third in her career (4/13/26, 03/23/26, 03/24/25)
Player of the Week
Kiera Price / SO / Lancaster Bible College / Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cedar Cliff
Price batted 7-for-11 on the week to post a .538 average while tallying six RBIs and crossing the plate seven more times in three victories for the Chargers. Price hit a home run in three straight games and started her week with a 3-for-4 day at the plate with a home run, a double and two RBIs in an 11-7 victory at Wilson.
This is Price's first career United East weekly accolade.
Men’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Joshua Martel / SR / St. Mary's College (MD) / Linthicum, Md. / North County
Joshua Martel started the week with a goal, an assist, a caused turnover, and a ground ball in the Seahawks' 12-8 triumph over Mary Washington, snapping a two-game skid against the Eagles. Martel then put up season-bests of seven points, five goals, and two assists in SMCM's 27-1 win over Pitt-Bradford.
This is Martel's first weekly accolade of the season and the fourth of his career (4/27/26, 4/8/24, 3/4/24, 4/20/23)
Defensive Player of the Week
Joe Szymanski / SR / St. Mary's College (MD) / Easton, Md. / Easton
Joe Szymanski paced the defense with four loose ball pickups and three caused turnovers while adding a goal in St. Mary's 12-8 triumph over Mary Washington, snapping a two-game skid against the Eagles. Szymanski then picked up seven ground balls and had one caused turnover while contributing a goal and an assist in the Seahawks' 27-1 win over Pitt-Bradford.
This is Szymanski's fourth weekly accolade of the season and the fifth of his career (4/13/26, 03/30/26, 03/16/26, 03/10/25)
