LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for April 6, 2026. Today will include Players of the Week from women's flag football, men's volleyball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, baseball and softball awards.
This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, April 5. A total of 12 student-athletes from nine different member institutions were recognized for their performances.
Men’s Volleyball
Offensive Player of the Week
Ryan Koontz / JR / Wilson College / York Haven, Pa. / Red Land
Koontz led a balanced attack with 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .556 as Wilson swept Immaculata in the regular season finale on Monday. The win secured the No. 2 seed for the Phoenix in the United East Championship. He was also strong defensively with nine digs.
This is Koontz's first ever United East weekly accolade of his career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jackson Wolfe / SO / Wilson College / Abbottstown, Pa. / New Oxford
Wolfe had an incredible match in the regular season as he made six blocks against the Immaculata attack on Monday in a sweep by Wilson. The win helped the Phoenix secure the No. 2 seed in the United East Championship. Thanks in part by Wolfe, Immaculata hit less than .050 in two of the three sets. He was strong offensively as well with 11 kills while hitting .417.
This is Wolfe's first Defensive United East weekly accolade of the season and his seventh accalade of his career (02/23/26, 02/02/26, 04/07/25, 03/24/25, 03/10/25, 02/10/25).
Women's Flag Football
Offensive Player of the Week
Mi-La Guest / FY / Penn State Harrisburg / Sammamish, Wash. / Eastlake
Guest was the key offensive threat as Penn State Harrisburg defeated Keystone in a conference contest on Wednesday. The first year wideout piled up 110 recieving yards which is the most of any United East player this season. Guest snagged five receptions, two of which went for touchdowns. Her longest reception on the day went for 52 yards.
This is Guest's first ever United East weekly accolade in women's flag football.
Defensive Player of the Week
Citrine Lummer / SO / Gallaudet University / Frederick, Md.
Gallaudet University sophomore made a career-high 10 tackles and two interceptions for the Bison last Friday in a close 13-12 loss at Division II Ferrum College, ranked No. 9 in the nation. Lummer's interception in the fourth quarter was returned five yards for GU's second touchdown in the game. She also had one pass breakup in the game. On offense, Lummer led all receivers with 11 catches for 171 yards.
This is Lummer's second career United East weekly accolade in women's flag football, earning the distinction last week as well.
Baseball
Player of the Week
Ryan Snyder / SR / Penn State Brandywine / Aston, Pa. / Sun Valley
Ryan Snyder batted .500 with a .579 on-base percentage and three multi-hit games for Brandywine last week. He also stole five bases in as many attempts to increase his conference-leading total to 18 steals this spring. Snyder had three hits and three runs scored in a conference win at Valley Forge. He scored four times in a victory over John Jay and had a pair of two-hit performances in a doubleheader split against Penn State Berks.
This is Snyder's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Pitcher of the Week
Justin Hefner / JR / Penn State Berks / Hanover, Pa. / Southwestern
Hefner had his best performance of the season in the Nittany Lions win over the University of Valley Forge. He pitched all 7 innings in the 10-0 victory, allowing only three hits while striking out five.
This is Hefner's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Softball
Pitcher of the Week
Maddison Atkins / SR / Lancaster Bible College / Madisonville, Tenn. / Sequoyah
For the second time in as many weeks Atkins collects Pitcher of the Week honor, extending her 0.00 ERA streak to four-straight outings. The senior went 2-0 on the week, pitching two complete games while not letting a single run cross the plate. Over her 12.0 innings tossed, she'd collect 10 strikeouts.
This is Atkins' second time earning a weekly award in a Charger uniform but she did accrue one on 04/09/24 when she played for Clarks Summit University.
Player of the Week
Kendall Jackman / FY / Lancaster Bible College / Westminster, Md. / Francis Scott Key
Jackman was near unstoppable from the dish this week, helping her Chargers pick up a 4-0 record in conference action. The first year player went 8-for-13 from the plate, earning a hit in all four games. Her slugging percentage of 1.308 was helped by her extra base knocks as she ended the week with two doubles, two triples and a homer. She drove in six runs on the week and also picked up a pair of stolen bags.
This is Jackman's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Women’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Katelin Scala / SR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Catonsville, Md. / Mount de Sales Academy
Katelin Scala finished a 1-1 week with 11 draw controls, nine points, six assists, three goals, three ground balls and one caused turnover. Scala won seven draw controls while chipping in a goal and an assist in an 18-9 loss to Mary Washington. She then notched a season-best seven points on two goals and season-high five assists while adding four draws and three ground balls in a 22-3 win at Cedar Crest.
This is Scala's second career United East Weekly Accolade (03/23/26)
Defensive Player of the Week
Claire Boudreau / JR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Towson, Md. / Towson
Claire Boudreau notched three caused turnovers, won one draw and scooped up one ground ball in an 18-9 loss to Mary Washington before adding three draws, two ground balls and one caused turnover in a 22-3 win at Cedar Crest.
This is Boudreau's first United East weekly accolade of the year and her third all time (03/10/25, 03/03/25)
Men’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Adain Holliday / SR / Cairn University / New York, NY / Ubran Assembly Maker Academy
Adain Holliday led the Highlander offense in their lone game, scoring 3 goals for the Cairn cause. One of Holliday's goals game after fighting through 3 defenders and scoring unassisted. A second goal came in the second half when Holliday drove to the right of the goal and while on the run shot the ball behind his head bouncing it into the bottom corner of the goal to add to the Cairn score.
This is Holliday's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Defensive Player of the Week
Alex Arno / SO / Pitt-Bradford / Fallston, Md. / Fallston
Alex Arno led the Pitt-Bradford defense in a dominating week, as the Panthers went 2-0 while outscoring opponents 38-12. He totaled 10 ground balls and 5 caused turnovers on the week. In the 20-2 win over Hilbert he tallied 7 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.
This is Arno's first ever United East weekly accolade.
