LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East is proud to announce that Lancaster Bible College has earned the 2025-26 United East Institutional Academic Excellence Award.
The United East Institutional Academic Excellence Award is presented annually to the member institution whose student-athletes competing in United East-sponsored sports achieve the highest cumulative grade point average during the academic year. Lancaster Bible repeats as the recipient after also claiming the honor in 2024-25.
"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes, " said Lancaster Bible College Athletic Director Bryan Curtis. "This recognition is a testament to their pursuit of excellence both in the classroom and in competition. I am also grateful for our coaches and staff, whose dedication and mentorship continue to equip our student-athletes to thrive academically, athletically, and spiritually."
The Chargers posted a departmental GPA of 3.38 during the 2025-26 academic year, with 11 of their 18 varsity programs recording a team GPA of 3.25 or higher. Lancaster Bible also led the conference in six sports with the highest team GPA: baseball (3.41), softball (3.74), women's basketball, women's indoor track & field (3.52), women's outdoor track & field (3.57) and women's tennis (3.77).
