GREENSBORO, N.C. – Notre Dame of Maryland University and Penn State Brandywine were recognized as recipients of the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.
The award honors high school and college baseball programs that demonstrated excellence in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify, a program was required to post a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and have a head coach who is a current ABCA member.
Notre Dame of Maryland and Penn State Brandywine were among more than 500 collegiate programs to receive the honor. Overall, the ABCA recognized more than 800 high school and college programs across the country.
Both United East programs received recognition in the NCAA Division III category.
