HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. - For the second time in as many seasons, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s cross country team raised the banner as the Seahawks claimed the team title at the 2022 Cross Country Championship Saturday morning at Lorimer Park.

The Seahawks had all five of their runners place in the top-11, led by Madeleine Blaisdell who was crowned the conference’s Runner of the Year after finishing with a time of 26:08.5. This was the second-straight year the junior was the Championship Race's top runner and also marked the second-straight year that Reava Potter was tabbed the Women's XC Coach of the Year.
SUNY Morrisville placed second in the team standings as Alexis Lennon topped their squad with a fifth place time of 27:33.01. Behind them was the team from Lancaster Bible College, led by Dana Keller who took fourth with a time of 26:57.93. The first-year runner also garnered Rookie of the Year honors with her performance.
In fourth place was Penn State Berks, who saw Erin Horack take home sixth pace with a time of 27:42.27. Horack also demonstrated her prowess in the classroom as she earned the United East’s Elite 14 award as she registered a GPA of 4.000 while majoring in sciences
All-Conference recognition was earned by the top-14 runners, with the top seven collecting First Team honors and the next seven earning Second Team honors. Check out all 14 HERE:
