MEDIA, Pa. - The United East Women’s Cross Country Championship finished Saturday afternoon as runners raced on the campus of Penn State Brandywine.

For the fifth time in as many years, St. Mary’s College of Maryland captured the team title, scoring 53 team points. Ella Mitchell was the top finisher for the Seahawks, clocking a 24:25.1 which was good enough for second place. Kate Wachter and Elle Wilson all nabbed top-10 finishes, placing seventh and ninth respectively.
Lancaster Bible College was just five points back of the winners, scoring 58 as a team. The Chargers placed runners three, four, five as Seana Dougherty, Abby Ames and Cadee Cameron all scored well. Charger Head Coach Silas Eckenroad was also tabbed the 2025 Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
For the second-straight year, the overall winner and RUnner of the Year went to Clarisse Hayden from Cairn University. Hayden paced the crowd with a time of 23:58.48 as she repeated her top finish from last year.
Rookie of the Year honors went to MaKayla Reichel from Penn State Harrisburg. The first year runner took sixth place overall with a time of 25:11.28.
