LATHAM, N.Y. - Week 29 of the United East Athletes of the Week features programs sweeps in every sport aside from men's lacrosse.
In baseball, Penn State Harrisburg's Fisher Druck and Kevin Lehner collected Pitcher and Player of the Week nods, respectively.
Penn State Berks swept the softball awards as Naomi Fay was tabbed the Player of the Week and Briana Smith the Pitcher of the Week.
In womne's lacrosse it was SUNY Morrisville who swept with Alana McDonald and Maddie Baum being named the Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Rounding out the honor roll was Dylan LaPlace (SUNY Morrisville) who earned men's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week honors and Joey DiMaria (Hilbert College) who was named the Offensive Player of the Week.

Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Maddie Baum
SUNY Morrisville | Junior | Attack
Baum racked up 11 goals over two contests this week, helping her Mustangs to a 2-0 record. The junior started the week with six goals against Alfred State and then added five more against Mount Aloysius. She also cashed in a few assists as well finishing the week with four. Aside from her scoring abilities, Baum collected eight draw controls and 11 groundballs en route to the two wins.
Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Alana McDonald
SUNY Morrisville | Junior | Defense / Midfield
McDonald appeared in one game for the Mustangs this week, aiding in Morrisville’s conference victory over Mount Aloysius College over the weekend. The defensive midfielder caused four Mountie turnovers while scooping a trio of groundballs. McDonald was a key part of the restart as she also controlled nine draws. To add to her stat sheet, the Potsdam, N.Y. native also collected six goals and a pair of assists in the win.
Softball Player of the Week
Naomi Fay
Penn State Berks | Sophomore | Shortstop
Fay boasted plenty of offense for Penn State Berks this week as the Nittany Lions went 3-1. The sophomore slashed .727/1.091/.692 over the course of the four games while going 8-for-11 from the dish. Those hits turned into runs scored as she crossed the plate five times while also recording five RBI. Fay also picked up a double, a home run and two stolen bases over that stint.
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Briana Smith
Penn State Berks | Senior | Pitcher
Smith dominated from the circle all week, making appearances in three of the Nittany Lion’s contests. In the first game against Gallaudet university, the senior picked up a complete-game no-hitter, falling just a single walk shy of the perfect game. She then went on to pick up another complete game win over Lancaster Bible College, allowing zero runs over 5.0 innings of work. Smith finished the week with 14.2 innings on the rubber, allowing zero runs while striking out 19.
Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Joey DiMaria
Hilbert College | Junior | Attack
DiMaria had the offense going as he helped the Hawks to a conference victory of La Roche University on Wednesday. The sophomore found the back of the net eight times to up his team-leading goal count to 20 on the season. He also notched four assists to give himself 12 points on the day. Rounding out the stat sheet, DiMaria also caused four turnovers while scooping a trio of groundballs.

Dylan LaPlace
SUNY Morrisville | Junior | Defense
LaPlace picked up his fourth win of the year between the pipes this past Saturday, helping his Mustangs to a key conference win over Penn College. The netminder stopped 12 Wildcat shots through 57 minutes of play, allowing just 10 goals. He’d also pitch in on the defense, causing a pair of turnovers and scooping five groundballs.

Penn State Harrisburg | Freshman | Pitcher
Druck turned in 6.0 scoreless innings as he was a key part of Harrisburg’s win over Gallaudet on Saturday afternoon. The first year allowed just two hits without giving a single run over that time. Druck also punched out a season-best seven Bison in the win.
Baseball Player of the Week
Kevin Lehner
Penn State Harrisburg | Junior | Outfield
Lehner notched a hit in all four games Harrisburg played this past week, helping the Lions go a perfect 4-0. The junior posted a batting average of .600 (9-for-15), registering three hits in the first two games of the week. Of those nine hits, five went for extra bags including three homers and a pair of doubles. Lehner finished the week with seven RBI while scoring eight times himself.
