VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Eric Gregory from Gallaudet University made history at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 200 meter dash Saturday evening at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.
The senior placed second in the 200 meter race, crossing the finish line at a personal best time of 20.96. His time was only .03 seconds behind the winner and was only third time ever a Division III athlete has hit the sub-21 second mark. With the result, Gregory is crowned an All-American in the event.
Gregory also makes history in the conference, becoming not only the conference’s first men’s indoor track & field athlete to compete on the national level, but also the first All-American in the sport.
