Seven United East Individuals Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The United East saw seven individuals named All-Region for the 2024 Outdoor Track & Field Season.

All Region honors for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Friday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.

Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

Gallaudet led the way with four individuals earning All-Region honors for this spring outdoor season.  On the men’s side, senior sprinter Eric Gregory earned All-Region in the 100-, 200-, and 400- meter dashes and also qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in those three events.  Junior Liam Painter earned All-Region honors in the pole vault.

On the women’s side, first-year Oceana Brown earned All-Region honors in the 200-meter dash and qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in that event as well.  Senior Hannah Wetzel earned All-Region in the High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump.  Wetzel qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the High Jump.

St. Mary’s College of Maryland had two individuals earn All-Region honors for the 2024 season.  First-year Ty Tindal earned the distinction in the 100-meter dash while classmate Jillian Zukley earned honors in the Shot Put. 

Penn State Harrisburg’s Paul Netland earned All-Region honors in the 110-meter hurdles.
