Seahawks Lead After Day One of Men's Track & Field Championships

LATHAM, N.Y. – Day one of the 2026 United East Men's Track & Field Championships is in the books with seven events complete.

St. Mary's (Md.) holds the top spot in team standings after day one, scoring 100 teams points. Korey Blair won the long jump with a leap of 6.68 meters. Zachary Kralec cleared 4.45 meters in the pole volt, winning the event. On the track, Bryce Webster took the top spot in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing in a time of 10:43.49. Finally, Nick Haylock won the 400-meter hurdles, posting a time of 56.23.

Lancaster Bible got off to a strong start at the championship, with Kyle Durkin winning the Javelin with a throw of 58.28 meters. Emery McCombs picked up a victory in the hammer throw, flinging the instrument 46.77 meters. On the track, David Helms won the 10,000-meters, finishing the event in a time of 34:58.42.

Penn State Harrisburg sits in third place at the Championship, having five athletes finish in the top three of the seven events.
The final 13 events of the championship will take place on Sunday, starting at 10:00 AM.
