NEW ORLEANS, La. - Three United East men’s Outdoor Track & Field student-athletes earned All-Region honors as released by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday. Zachary Kralec and Nicholas Haylock from St. Mary’s College of Maryland earned the honor as well as Walter Douglas from Gallaudet University.

Kralec was dominant in the pole vault this season, posting the fourth-best mark in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The junior notched his best height at the St. Mary’s College Seahawk Invite on March 29, leaping a height of 4.80m. His efforts earned him first place at that event, giving him a total of three gold finishes this outdoor season. Most recently, Kralec leapt a height of 4.45m at the United East Championships earning him the top spot.

Haylock was dominant in the 400-meter hurdles this season, posting the fourth-best time in the Mid-Atlantic Region. He’d post a finish of 55.07 in the last meet of the season, a personal best for the junior. At the United East Championships, Haylock picked up a first place in the 400m hurdles as well as the 110m hurdles.

Douglas impressed in the long jump, posting the third-best mark in the South Region this season. The senior leapt 7.15m at the Gallaudet Bison Classic on April 5th which also earned him the top place in that event. He’d earn three top podium finishes this season including in the United East Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
