After dealing with a weather delay of over four hours, Gregory was still able to defend his 400-meter crown. The senior got off to a quick start and never looked back, clocking a time of 45.73. The time was not only a personal best, but also marked the second-fastest time in Division III history. This is Gregory’s second-consecutive outdoor title in the event and his third National Champion trophy of his career.
Gregory turned around just over an hour later to compete in the 200-meter dash. There, he posted his personal best, clocking a 20.70 to take second place overall.
Oceana Brown rounded out her rookie season in tremendous fashion as she placed fifth overall. The freshman posted a time of 24.35, which was less than a second off the top finishers time.
