It was a historic week for the Lions soccer program as they started off the week with a 1-0 win over No. 4 Messiah University. The victory marked the highest-nationally ranked opponent Harrisburg has ever defeated and was the Falcons first home loss since the 2023 season. The squad rolled that win into wins against Cairn University (4-0) and Wilson College (4-0) before a scoreless draw against regionally-ranked SUNY Cortland on Sunday.
Sharing the ball has been a key to the success as the squad leads the league with 39 helpers on the year. A total of 17 players have recorded at least one assist this season including a team-leading six from Diana Pon.
Harrisburg rounds out its regular season on Wednesday as they take on Lancaster Bible College in a critical conference matchup. That game starts at 7 p.m.
