Four Advance to Women's Soccer Semifinals

LATHAM, N.Y. – The chase for the 2025 United East Women’s Soccer Championship crown is heating up after an action-packed quarterfinal round. Four teams punched their tickets to the semifinals.

The semifinals will commence on Tuesday. Find the matchups below:

Semifinal #1: #1 Penn State Harrisburg vs. #5 Penn State Berks
Semifinal #2: #2 St. Mary's College vs. #3 Penn College

No. 1 Penn State Harrisburg def. No. 8 Wilson College, 5–0 (Boxscore)

The top-seeded Penn State Harrisburg Lions blanked Wilson College 5–0 on the road. Harrisburg’s offense came alive from the start, with four different players registering goals and keeping Wilson off balance all match. The Lions controlled possession and limited Wilson to minimal opportunities. 

In total, Harrisburg outshot Wilson by a significant margin, with a dominant showing in corner kicks as well. Wilson goalkeeper Bella Scarlato tallied 3 saves while Madison Ebersole logged 4.

No. 2 St. Mary’s College of Maryland def. No. 7 Notre Dame (Md.), 3–1 (Boxscore)

The No. 2 Seahawks held strong on their home pitch with a 3–1 victory over Notre Dame (Md.). St. Mary’s took control early, scoring twice in the opening half before the Gators cut the deficit to one midway through the second. The Seahawks sealed the win in the 89th minute with a goal from Sidney Shaw off an assist from Gracie Tourangeau to advance to the semifinals. St. Mary’s outshot Notre Dame 37–1 and tallied 10 corners to the Gators’ one, maintaining command throughout the contest.

No. 5 Penn State Berks def. No. 4 Lancaster Bible College, 2–1 (Boxscore)

Penn State Berks continued its season with a 2–1 road win over Lancaster Bible College. The Lions struck first in the 8th minute with a goal by Maya Dolan, assisted by Devon Deery. Faith Wavershak added a key insurance goal in the 34th minute before the Chargers pulled one back in the second hald off a shot from Leah Iman. Despite late pressure from the hosts, Berks’ backline and goalkeeping held firm to secure the upset. Berks outshot LBC 17–9.

No. 3 Penn College def. No. 6 Penn State Abington, 6–0 (Boxscore)

No. 3 Penn College exploded offensively in a 6–0 rout over Penn State Abington to punch its ticket to the semifinals. The Wildcats built a 4–0 lead by halftime and didn’t let up after the break, controlling every phase of the match, headlined by Sara Darlington's hatrick. Penn College outshot Abington 21–5 as Abington's keepers Sam Ridler and Kayla Kulp had 4 and 5 saves, respectively. The Wildcats’ defense and possession play never wavered, leading to their most decisive postseason win in recent years.
