Carpenter & Lexow Earn All-Region Honors

LATHAM, N.Y - Two United East women’s basketball players earned D3hoops.com All-Region honors for their performances during the 2024-25 season. Penn State Harrisburg’s Jordan Carpenter collected Second Team honors while Gallaudet University’s Cam Lexow earned a spot on the Third Team.

Carpenter was well received in her first year as a Lion, dominating in almost every facet of the game. The Chester, Va. native was a scoring machine as she topped the conference in both total points (520) and points-per-game (19.3). Those two statistics also ranked 21st and 27th nationally. She was also known to earn some of those points at the charity stripe as her 152 made free throws ranked seventh nationally and her 83.5 FT% led the United East. One of her top performances came in a win over Gallaudet as she scored a season high 34 points while also corralling 18 boards. The graduate student’s work has not gone unnoticed as she was tabbed a D3hoops Preseason All-American, the United East Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week six times, the Defensive Player of the Week once and was named to the National Team of the Week for the week ending on Dec. 17.

The recognition keeps piling up as Lexow earned Third Team All-Region honors. The United East Defensive Player of the Year, Lexow was a lockdown defender as her total steals and blocks rank in the top-15 in all of Division III. Her 94 steals currently rank 12th, picking the pocket of her opponents in all but one game this year. She dominated underneath the hoop as well, with her 65 blocks rankings 15th in the country. This season, the Abington, Pa. native has piled up 18 multi-block games.Her talents weren’t just on the defensive side as she also ranked top-5 in the conference in both total points and total assists. Lexow averaged 14.9 points and 3.4 assists per game which helped spur a powerful Gallaudet offense.

Most recently, Lexow earned the honors of being a Jostens Trophy Finalist, which is awarded to the outstanding NCAA Division III men’s and women’s basketball players who excel on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. This year, Lexow collected First Team All-Conference honors to match her Defensive Player of the Year nod. She was also tabbed the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week twice, the Offensive Player of the Week once and selected to represent Gallaudet at the WBCA Senior All-Star Game.
