LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East has announced its 2025 Baseball All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners. Each of the three All-Conference teams are made up of a catcher, two middle infielders, two corner infielders, three outfielders, two starting pitchers, one relief pitcher, a designated hitter and four at-large selections. Also awarded was the Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year.

Major Award Winners

Player of the Year - Cole Tarleton (St. Mary’s College of Maryland)

Pitcher of the Year - Sean Brennan (Keystone College)

Rookie of the Year - Levi Purnell (Penn College)

Coach of the Year - Jamie Shevchik (Keystone College)

Tarleton brought the juice to the Seahawk offense all season, posting the second-best batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage in the conference. Those numbers also translated nationwide as his batting average of .444 ranks 13th in the country, his OBP% of .574 ranks third and his slugging of .838 ranks 11th. The Hollywood, Md. native ended his season with 44 hits, registering a knock in 24 of his 29 games. One of his best performances came in a win over Lancaster Bible College as he went 4-for-6 with four RBI and a pair of home runs. Tarleton was tabbed as the United East Player of the Week twice this year and earned a spot on the National Team of the Week once.

Brennan was nothing short of excellent this season, posting a perfect 9-0 record across 12 appearances. The senior topped the conference with a 2.65 ERA punching out 64 batters which ranked second. Over his 71.1 innings pitched, he’d only allow nine extra base hits and just 24 base-on-balls. One of his top outings came in a non-conference tilt with St. John Fisher University in which he allowed just three hits and no runs while punching out 13 en route to a win. This season, Brennan was named the United East Pitcher of the Week once.

Purnell made his first year look easy as he collected Rookie of the Year honors hitting primarily from the designated hitter position. The Snow Shoe, Pa. native registered a batting average of .343 with 37 hits, 13 of which going for extra bags. His slugging (.564), OPS (1.056) and on-base percentage (.492) all also ranked in the top-20 in the conference as well. One of his best plate performances came in the last game of the season for Penn College as he went 3-for-6 with a pair of doubles and a pair of RBI.

No stranger to this award, Coach Shevchik produced another Championship squad in 2025, marking his second-straight United East title and his 20th-straight conference title. Shevchik guided one of the best offenses in Division III baseball this year as his teams 529 hits rank fifth in the country and their batting average (.347) ranks sixth. While the bats were hot, the base paths were on fire as the team’s 149 stolen bags rank second in the nation. This year, Shevchik led 12 players to All-Conference honors including the Pitcher of the Year.
