The 2025 United East Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year, Hailey Betch turned in another impressive statline across her senior season. Known for her precise distribution of the pill, Betch led the conference in assists this season with 34. She’d add 43 goals to that statline as well, making her the highest point-getter in the United East with 77 on the season. The Severna Park, Md. native notched at least one point in all games except one this season, with one of her top outings coming against Notre Dame of Maryland where she scored three times and assisted on six other goals. This season, Betch was named the United East Offensive Player of the Week three times.
Smith was the anchor to the St. Mary’s College defense, helping the team improve their unbeaten conference play streak to four-straight seasons. The Seahawks allowed just 8.76 goals per game which was top among the United East teams. Smith’s ability to create the turnover helped with that as she led the league with 29 caused turnovers. She’d not only cause the turnovers, but also helped to pick up the pieces as her 43 groundballs ranked second in the conference. This year, Smith was tabbed the United East Defensive Player of the Year and also earned the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week three times.
Colin Horton was an instrumental cog in the St. Mary’s College offense, as her 59 goals not only led the squad but also led the entire conference. The University Park, Md. native notched at least one goal in all 18 games played and she’d have multiple scores in all contests aside from one. She’d add nine assists to her point total which was tied for the second-most in the United East. Horton helped spur the offense on the draw as well, collecting 52 draws which was the fourth-most in conference play. The attacker would often rise when the occasion called for it most, showing out with four goals and an assist against perennial powerhouse Salisbury University this season. Horton was named to the All-Conference First Team this season while also picking up a pair of Offensive Player of the Week nods.
