LATHAM, N.Y. -  The 2026 United East Women’s lacrosse Preseason Poll has been released with four teams included in the rankings. Find the results below:

 

1.	St. Mary's College of Maryland (3)
T2.	Wilson College (1)
T2.	Cedar Crest College
4.	Notre Dame of Maryland University

It has been the Seahawk show ever since St. Mary’s College joined the conference in 2022. The Blue and Gold has captured all four titles over that time and have yet to drop a conference game as well. The Seahawks graduated 2025 Offensive Player of the Year Hailey Betch but return the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year, Carsyn Smith. Katelin Scala will also appear in the lineup after taking home Championship MVP honors a year ago. The big difference will be at the coaching position as Maddie Heck takes over after a two year stint at Virginia Wesleyan University.

The Phoenix received the other first place vote as second-year bench captain Paul Flohr looks to guide his team on a Championship run. Defensive midfielder Ellisa Gamby-Mickey looks to make a big impact in her sophomore season after earning First Team All-Conference honors in 2025. Riley Lemay joined her on the defensive side of things, also taking home First Team All-Conference honors in 2025.

Rylee Gould will be the most tenured coach in the conference as she looks to help her Falcon program return to the postseason. Their two All-Conference First Teamers graduated but they have plenty of talent including Second Teamers Ellie Terranova, Kadee Schrader and Kylah Demorest will back on the field.

Notre Dame rounds out the rankings as they have also seen a coaching change as Llaquelin Reyes will guide the Gators. 

The United East Championship will see all four teams earn a spot in the postseason with the Semi Final round taking place on Wednesday April 22. The Final will then commence on May 25. All games will take place at the higher seed's facility.

The winner of the Final will then take on the Champion of the Alleghany Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) in a Crossover Championship to determine who gets the Automatic Qualifier to the 2026 NCAA Championship
