United East Concludes Day One of Men's Outdoor T&F Championships

WASHINGTON D.C. - The 2025 United East Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships began today on the campus of Gallaudet University. With just five of the 20 scheduled events completed, Penn State Harrisburg currently holds the team lead. All teams will return to the track tomorrow for day two of the Championship.

Harrisburg kicked things off with a medal sweep in the discus including Sean Myron who topped the event with a throw of 42.34m. Oluwa Adante Kinti (41.80) finished second while Connor Daubert (39.39) placed third.

Zachary Kralec got some points on the board in the pole vault as his mark of 4.45m earned him gold in the event.

Gallaudet University picked up a pair of gold medals, one on the track and one in the jumping pits. Roberto Torres placed first in the steeple chase posting a time of 10:39.22 while Walter Douglas captured the top spot in the long jump, leaping a distance of 6.84m.

David Helms captured some team points for the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College, taking first in the 10K as he crossed the line with a time of 37.30.34.

The javelin event was cut short due to weather conditions but Gabe Cadete from Gallaudet holds the top spot with two more competitors to throw.
