United East Athletes of the Week - February 23, 2026

LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for February 23, 2026.  Today will include Players of the Week from men's volleyball, men's lacrosse and the first week of women's lacrosse and baseball awards.

This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, February 22.  A total of eight student-athletes from five different member institutions were recognized for their performances.

 
Men’s Volleyball

Offensive Player of the Week
Jackson Wolfe / SO / Wilson College / Abbottsown, Pa. / New Oxford

Wolfe was the offensive leader for the Phoenix as the team posted a 1-2 record on the week. The sophomore tallied 19 kills in the first game of the week against Widener and followed that with 17 in a match against Eastern. He'd add a single kill in limited playing time in the weekend win over Hood, finishing with an attack percentage of .321 on the week. He added four aces over the week as well as 17 digs and six blocks.

This is Wolfe's second Player of the Week nod of the year and his sixth of his career (02/02/26, 04/07/25, 03/24/25, 03/10/25, 02/10/25).
 

Defensive Player of the Week
Josh McGurl / JR / Immaculata University / West Grove, Pa. / Avon Grove

Josh McGurl powered Immaculata on both ends of the court, totaling 17 digs and two blocks while adding 17 kills and two service aces across two matches. Against Arcadia University on Thursday, McGurl recorded 10 digs and two blocks to complement nine kills. He followed up with another strong performance Saturday versus Ramapo College, finishing with seven digs and eight kills.

This is McGurl's first ever United East weekly accoalde.

 
 
 
Baseball

Player of the Week
Evan Sareyka / SR / Lancaster Bible College / Swedesboro, N.J. / The Christian Academy

Sareyka was a monster at the plate in the team's 2026 opener, helping his squad split a twinbill with Eastern. The senior went 3-for-4 with a double and an HR in the first game before going 2-for-3 with another double in game two. He'd put up slashes of .714/1.429/.750 while accruing 10 total bases and a walk.

This is Sareyka's first ever United East weekly accoalde.

Pitcher of the Week
Trey Luminella / FR / Lancaster Bible College / Morgantown, Pa. / Twin Valley

Luminella made a big impact in his first ever outing with the Chargers, collecting the first Lancaster Bible win of the season on the bump. The first year tossed 4.0 innings allowing just a single hit and no runs. He'd also add four punch outs including two looking.

This is Luminella's first ever United East weekly accoalde.
 

Women’s Lacrosse

Offensive Player of the Week
Hope Harrison / JR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Catonsville, Md. / Mount De Dales Academy

Hope Harrison has had a strong start to her junior campaign, leading the Seahawks through three games with 10 goals and 12 points while ranking second with two assists. Harrison started the year with two goals and an assist plus three draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 17-9 loss at Roanoke. She then put up career-bests of four goals and five points plus one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 9-8 overtime loss at Lynchburg. Harrison notched a career-high four goals for the second straight game while adding one ground ball and one draw control in a 16-10 loss to Shenandoah.

This is Harrison's first ever United East weekly accoalde.


Defensive Player of the Week
Kaelyn Goff / JR / Wilson College / Union Bridge, Md. / Francis Scott Key

Goff played an excellent game despite the result as she made a career-high 22 saves with a save percentage of .611. Overall she faced 47 shots. The total was her second career-game of 20-plus saves and gave her over 200 for her career.

This is Goff's first weekly accoalde of the year and her second in her career (04/21/25)
 

Men’s Lacrosse

Offensive Player of the Week
Elliot Dotson / SO / Penn College / Wilmington, Del. / Salesianum

Dotson posted back-to-back eight-point games in the Wildcats two-win week over Juniata and Alfred University. Against the Eagles on Wednesday, Dotson scored a hat-trick and dished out five assists on offense while scooping up two ground balls and causing one turnover. On Saturday against the Saxons, Dotson led the team with four goals and four assists to complete a second-half comeback in a 13-10 victory.

This is Dotson's first weekly accolade of the season and the fourth of his career (04/07/25, 02/24/25, 03/10/25)


Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan Twist / JR / Penn College / Great Meadows, N.J. / Hackettstown

Twist helped the Wildcats to a 2-0 week with victories over Juniata and Alfred University. On Wednesday against the Eagles, Twist posted six saves in the first half of a 24-7 win. Twist played the full 60 minutes in a three-point win (13-10) against the Saxons on Saturday. He faced a season-high 50 shots and posted 24 saves, including four crucial saves in the final 3:16 to preserve the lead. 

This is Twist's first weekly accolade of the season and the third of his career (03/17/25, 03/03/25)
