LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East conference has announced its Athletes of the Week for March 16, 2026. Today will include Players of the Week from men's volleyball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, baseball and softball awards.
This week’s selections included contests through Sunday, March 15. A total of nine student-athletes from six different member institutions were recognized for their performances.
Men’s Volleyball
Offensive Player of the Week
Luke Dortenzo / FR / Immaculata University / Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area
Luke Dortenzo had a combined 73 assists, with three kills, seven service aces, two blocks, and four digs in helping Immaculata to a pair of United East Conference wins. He had 28 assists in Immaculata's conference win over Saint Elizabeth's on Monday, and followed up with an Immaculata program record for assists in a four-set match with 45 assists, along with five service aces in their conference win at Pratt on Saturday.
This is Dortenzo's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Defensive Player of the Week
Camden Sterner / JR / Wilson College / Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove
Sterner was a valuable asset in the Phoenix back row as he helped his team to a 2-1 record on the week, including a piar of conference victories. The junior started off with a week-high 16 digs in a striaght-set win over Gallaudet. He then totaled nine digs a piece against Stevenson and in the win over Saint Elizabeth. Sterner only picked up a pair of receive errors acros 48 attempts and also added three assists.
This is Sterner's second United East weekly accoalde of the season and his fourth overall (03/02/26, 04/08/24, 01/29/24).
Baseball
Player of the Week
Zach Bauers / SR / Penn State Abington / Cooper City, Fla. / Cooper City
In a 3-1 week for the Nittany Lions, senior Zach Bauers batted an impressive .571 (8-14) as he collected eight hits, including two doubles and a home run. Bauers finished the week with five runs scored and drove in four while walking twice. He highlighted the week with a 3-for-3 performance in the team's final game at the RussMatt Invitational. Bauers drove in the game-winning run for the walk-off victory against Wesleyan University as Abington finished its spring trip with an 8-1 record. He had a hit in each game played this past week, including three multi-hit games.
This is Bauer's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Pitcher of the Week
Zachary Dennis / JR / Penn State Abington / Midland Park, N.J. / Midland Park
Junior Zachary Dennis helped the Penn State Abington baseball team finish the week 4-1 as the Nittany Lions wrapped up their spring trip at the RussMatt Invitational. Dennis went 1-0 with two saves in three relief appearances. He logged five innings and allowed just two hits and one earned run for a 1.80 earned run average. Dennis finished the week striking out seven of 20 batters faced. In the save against Vassar, Dennis struck out four batters in two innings. He then earned the save in the win over Penn State Altoona with another two-inning performance where he fanned two batters.
This is Dennis' first ever United East weekly accolade.
Softball
Player and Pitcher of the Week
Lacey Drolsbaugh / SR / Gallaudet University / Landsdale, Pa.
Gallaudet University senior Lacey Drolsbaugh had a Friday to remember for the Bison last week as the senior pitcher threw 10-innings of scoreless ball, recorded her third no-hitter this season and slammed three home runs as GU rolled over Yeshiva University.At the plate, Drolsbaugh compiled an eye-popping line of 5-for-5, seven runs scored, 11 RBI, three home runs, one double, three walks and five stolen bases. The Bison swamped the Maccabees 20-0 and 19-0 in the non-conference doubleheader in New Rochelle, N.Y. In the circle, Drolsbaugh allowed the first batter she faced to bloop a single into right field and from there she kept Yeshiva off the scoreboard for runs and hits. Drolsbaugh combined to strike out 25 batters in 10 innings and recorded her third no-hitter in six days. In the first game, she issued two walks and in the second game she hit one batter and one Bison error allowed the other Yeshiva baserunner to reach. In the second game, she notched her personal best 13 strikeouts in five innings after she had 12 strikeouts in five innings in the first game In the past four games in the circle (March 8 vs. Sarah Lawrence and March 13 vs. Yeshiva) she has logged 20 innings, four wins, 48 strikeouts and one hit and only five walks and two hit batters.
This is Drolsbaugh's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Women’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Hope Harrison / JR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Catonsville, Md. / Mount de Sales Academy
Hope Harrison led the Seahawks with three goals and an assist plus one ground ball in a 9-7 road loss to Randolph-Macon. Harrison then added a goal and an assist plus two ground balls, two draw controls, and one caused turnover in a 9-8 overtime loss to Widener.

Defensive Player of the Week
Allie Greeley / JR / St.Mary's College of Maryland / Havre de Grace, Md. / Havre de Grace
Allie Greeley made seven stops, scooped up a career-best seven ground balls, and notched a career-high two caused turnovers in a 9-7 road loss to Randolph-Macon. Greeley then matched her season-high of 12 saves and had one ground ball in a 9-8 overtime loss to Widener.
This is Greeley's first ever United East weekly accolade.
Men’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week
Antonio Santora / SO / Penn College / Haskell, N.J. / Lakeland Regional
Santora won 75% (51-of-68) of his faceoff attempts in a 2-1 week for the Wildcats. He accounted for 26 ground balls and added an assist against Morrisville State on Saturday. In his best game of the week in a 15-12 victory against the Mustangs, Santora won a season-high (84%) 26-of-31 of his faceoffs and tied a season-best 26 ground balls. Santora also won 9-of-13 in an 11-10 victory against North Central and 16-of-24 in a 14-13 double-OT loss to Transylvania.

Defensive Player of the Week
Joe Szymanski / SR / St. Mary's College of Maryland / Easton, Md. / Easton
Joe Szymanski scooped up seven loose balls and caused three turnovers to lead the defense in an 11-9 loss to Randolph-Macon. Szymanski then collected five ground balls and one caused turnover in a 14-7 win over Oneonta.
