The University of Valley Forge were victorious in thier United East First Round matchups, setting the field for the next round of the 2026 United East Championship Tournament.

Wilson College struck first in their road matchup with the Nittany Lions, capitalizing on four first inning errors by Penn State Brandywine to take an early 4-0 lead. The home team fought back, using a two-run home run by Jason Hankins in the bottom of the first inning to cut the deficit back down to one.
Brandywine plated a pair of runs in the fifth inning, to level the score at five. They then took thier first lead of the day in the seventh inning when Noah Currier singled, driving in an RBI. The Nittany Lions added one more run in the bottom of the seven inning and headed into the final frame with a two-run advantage. Wilson College tried to make a late push, with Garrett Drish knocking an RBI single into center field to pull within a run. The Pheonix could not tie the game, falling 7-6.
Brandywine was led by Hankins who finished the game with 2 RBIs. On the mound, Gianni Serenlli earned the win after pitching 6.0 innings, allowing only one earned run. Josh Hess picked up his fourth save of the season.

Valley Forge took the early lead in their road contest with Penn State Berks, scoring three runs in the second inning to grab a 4-1 lead. Evelyn Asijah launched a solo home run in the third inning to push the Patriots' advange to four.
Trailing 7-2 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, Penn State Berks answered back. The Nittany Lions plated three runs in the inning behind an RBI double by Bryce Kelly. Berks struck again in the bottom of the seventh scoring three more runs with a two-RBI triple by Michael DeRichie giving the Nittany Lions a 8-7 advantage.
The Patriots answered quickly, scoring five runs in the top of the eight inning to retake the lead. Gabriel Murphy sparked the rally, driving a two RBI single up the middle to retake the lead. Berks could not mount another rally, falling 12-8.
Murphy led the Patriots' Offense, collecting two hits, scoring two runs and driving in four RBIs on the day. On the mound, relief pitcher CJ Fernandez pitched the final two innings, holding the Nittany Lions to only one hit and securing his second victory of the season.
Penn State Brandywine and Valley Forge move on to this weekend's best-of-three series. Keystone College, the #1 seed, will host Penn State Brandywine while Valley Forge travels to #2 seed Penn State Harrisburg.
In other best-of-three series, #3 Penn State Abington hosts #6 Notre Dame of Maryland and #4 Lancaster Bible College will welcome #5 St. Mary's College of Maryland. All series begin with a doubleheader on Friday afternoon. Single games, if necessary, will take place on Saturday.
