KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Six United East Conference soccer programs were recognized by United Soccer Coaches as recipients of the 2025-26 College Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Friday, August 7.

The award recognizes college soccer programs for exemplary academic performance during the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify, a team must post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Four United East women's soccer programs received the honor, led by Cairn University with a 3.66 team GPA. Penn College recorded a 3.57 GPA, followed by St. Mary's College of Maryland at 3.40 and Penn State Harrisburg at 3.29.

On the men's side, Notre Dame of Maryland University earned the recognition after posting a 3.53 team GPA, while St. Mary's College of Maryland finished the academic year with a 3.26 GPA. St. Mary's was one of the institutions nationally to have both its men's and women's soccer programs honored.

Overall, 797 programs, including 335 men's teams and 462 women's teams, received the Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
