LEXINGTON, Ky. – Three United East Conference volleyball programs were recognized as recipients of the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
The award recognizes collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.
Gallaudet University’s men’s and women’s volleyball teams each earned the honor, while the St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s volleyball program was also recognized. Gallaudet was one of the institutions nationally to have multiple volleyball programs honored.
A record 1,432 collegiate and high school teams received the award for their academic achievement during the 2025-26 school year.
