HAMBURG, N.Y. - Hilbert's head women's lacrosse coach, Amber Hill, was drafted and then signed a women's lacrosse professional contract with Athletes Unlimited, an innovative player-centric professional sports league which was established in 2020 with Softball, then progressed in 2021 adding  Women's Volleyball and now Women's Lacrosse.

Players compete in innovative versions of their sport and traditional rules.  The games fans love have not changed, but Athletes Unlimited's new scoring system recognizes both team and individual play.  The games are faster and individual players score points, moving them up and down the leader board.  56 athletes create four AU teams competing in three games each week on Maureen Hendricks Field in Boyds, Maryland.

The four players who sit at the top of the leader board at the end of each week become team captains, and they draft new teams for the next week of competition.  At the end of the season, the player leading in the point standings is crowned Athletes Unlimited Champion.

Having just completed her third week of competition, Hill is credited with 132 saves and four ground balls through nine games.
