LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East has released its 2026 Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team and Major Award winners. The All-Conference team is made up of three attack, four midfielders, three defenders and one goalkeeper The conference also awarded its Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and its Coach of the Year for the 2026 season.
Major Award Winners
Offensive Player of the Year - Katelin Scala (St. Mary's College of Maryland)
Defensive Player of the Year - Claire Boudreau (St. Mary's College of Maryland)
Rookie of the Year - Sarah Fitter (St. Mary's College of Maryland)
Coach of the Year - Madison Heck (St. Mary's College of Maryland)
Scala led the Seahawks and finished second in the conference with 3.56 points per game to be named Offensive Player of the Year. The four-time all-conference selection led the league with 80 draw control wins, scored 32 goals and dished out 25 assists on the season. Against conference foes, the Catonsville, Md., native tallied a league-best 17 points with seven goals and 10 assists to help the Seahawks lock up the top seed in the United East Playoffs. Scala was a two-time Offensive Player of the Week selection this season.
Boudreau led a St. Mary's defense that allowed a conference low 10.29 goals per game. Boudreau forced 18 turnovers and scooped up 34 ground balls while also winning 38 draw controls. She was named Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on April 6 during the 2026 campaign.
Fitter made quite the impression in her first season wearing a Seahawks uniform as she finished fourth in the conference with 3.31 points per contest and 22 assists while her 31 goals were just one goal behind Scala. in conference, Fitter tallied six goals and seven assists for 13 points, she also earned Conference Championship MVP honors while helping the Seahawks to their fifth conference title.
Heck maintained the Seahawks dominance in the conference in her first season on the sidelines. Heck challenged her Seahawks to a 7-10 record but guided the Seahawks to their fifth consecutive undefeated conference record and conference championship. St. Mary's offense averaged 13.5 goals and 20 points per game which were tops in the league while the defense held opponents to 10.3 goals and posted a 0.401 save percentage during the 2026 season.
